vCIO Services in Florida

Florida Managed IT Group provides vCIO Services for Florida businesses that need a planner in the room — roadmap, budget, and what to retire — not another ticket queue. Fully managed or co-managed. Written down. Ten counties. Start with a free IT assessment.

What’s included

vCIO Services is a Virtual Chief Information Officer engagement: strategic IT planning, IT budgeting, and vendor management written down — not another ticket queue.

  • Quarterly (or monthly) planning meeting
  • Written roadmap: what to buy, what to retire, what next year’s budget should look like
  • Risk list with a dollar conversation — not a fear slide
  • Vendor and project oversight
  • Fully managed or co-managed; the vCIO is the planner either way
  • No lock-in on the planning engagement
  • Written scope before work starts
  • Month-to-month after that — if it is not working, you leave
  • Projects (a migration, a new office, cabling) scoped separately from the monthly number

Who vCIO Services is for

vCIO Services is for Florida businesses in the 10 counties listed below — owners and ops leads who need a 12-month technology roadmap, not another ticket. Fully managed or co-managed: internal IT can keep operations while we sit in the planning meetings. This is not a fit for a company that only wants a one-time break-fix visit and no ongoing scope.

How vCIO Services works

  1. Assessment. Current stack, budget, and the decisions already on the calendar.
  2. Written roadmap. Buy / retire / defer, with a budget conversation.
  3. Cadence. Recurring planning meetings. The help desk, if you have one with us, stays a separate motion.

What does vCIO Services include in Florida?

vCIO Services in Florida is a written planning engagement: a quarterly or monthly meeting, a technology roadmap for what to buy and what to retire, a risk list with a dollar conversation, and vendor and project oversight. Fully managed or co-managed; the vCIO is the planner either way. Scope is written before work starts. The engagement is month-to-month. Projects are scoped separately from the monthly number.

Florida coverage

Florida Managed IT Group works across 10 counties: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, Sarasota, Orange, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Lee. City pages are rolling out. Until a city URL is live, the names below go to the service areas hub.

How is a vCIO different from a help desk?

A help desk works tickets: password resets, broken laptops, how-to. A vCIO — a Virtual Chief Information Officer — works the roadmap and the budget: what to buy, what to retire, which vendor stays. You can buy one or both. The desk, if you have one with us, stays a separate motion. We will not call a ticket lead a vCIO.

Frequently asked questions

What is vCIO Services?

vCIO Services is a Virtual Chief Information Officer engagement: roadmap, budget, and what to retire — not a ticket queue. Florida Managed IT Group delivers it across 10 Florida counties. The page above lists what is in the monthly scope and what is a separate project. You can buy planning alone or next to the desk. Cadence is written down, typically monthly or quarterly.

Which parts of Florida do you cover?

Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, Sarasota, Orange, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Lee. City pages will live under /service-areas/. Until those URLs exist, use the service areas hub or contact us. That is the same 10-county footprint as the rest of the practice — Tampa Bay through Orlando and South Florida. We do not add counties we do not work.

How do you charge?

One monthly number for the stack we agree on. Projects — a migration, a new office, cabling, a phone cutover — are scoped separately. We do not publish a price list on this page. Ask for the written scope and the monthly number on the first call. Hardware, imaging, and net-new closets are not hidden inside that number. If you only want a project, we will say so.

Are we locked in?

Month-to-month. If it is not working, you leave. Ask for the agreement on the first call. There is no lock-in on the monthly engagement and no multi-year hostage note. Projects stay on their own line. We will not invent a termination fee on this page. Read the agreement before you sign.

How do we start?

Request a free IT assessment or use contact us. We will not put a phone number on this page until we have a real one to publish. Tell us the county and the stack. We inventory what is in scope. You leave with a written next step, not a slogan. No click-to-call until a real number exists.

Is a vCIO the help desk?

No. The desk works tickets. The vCIO works the roadmap and the budget. You can buy one or both. A Technical Account Manager is not a Virtual Chief Information Officer. If you already have internal IT, the vCIO sits in planning meetings and does not take the queue. Fully managed or co-managed — the planner is the planner either way.

How often do we meet?

Cadence is in the written plan — typically monthly or quarterly. We will not invent a default. Some owners want a monthly budget conversation; some want a quarterly review of the 12-month roadmap. The meeting is US-based. Extra project oversight is scoped when a migration or a new office is on the calendar, not assumed.
