Network Management in Florida
Florida Managed IT Group provides Network Management for Florida offices across 10 counties: Wi-Fi, firewalls, switching, and the wiring closet, sold as a service rather than implied by “monitoring.” This is for teams whose closet or Wi-Fi is the actual problem. Start with a free IT assessment.
What’s included
Network Management is managed firewall, managed Wi-Fi, and switching — the closet sold as a service, not implied by monitoring.
- Wired switching and the closet
- Wi-Fi design and the SSIDs in scope
- Firewall / edge — managed, not “included if we feel like it”
- Documentation of VLANs, DHCP, and the guest network
- On-site when the closet needs hands
- Cabling and net-new IDF builds are projects, not the monthly
- Written scope before work starts
- Month-to-month after that — if it is not working, you leave
- Projects (a migration, a new office, cabling) scoped separately from the monthly number
Who Network Management is for
Network Management is for Florida businesses in the 10 counties listed below whose closet, Wi-Fi, or firewall is the actual problem. Fully managed or co-managed. This is not a fit for a company that only wants a one-time break-fix visit and no ongoing scope.
How Network Management works
- Assessment. You request a free IT assessment. We inventory the stack that is in scope. Nothing is “assumed monitored.”
- Written scope. You get a monthly number for the agreed stack. Projects are separate line items. Ask for the SLA document on that call — we do not publish times we cannot keep.
- Desk + plan. The US-based desk takes tickets against that scope. The plan (what to buy, what to retire) is written down. Month-to-month.
What does Network Management include in Florida?
Network Management in Florida is wired switching and the closet, Wi-Fi design and the SSIDs in scope, a managed firewall at the edge, and documentation of VLANs, DHCP, and the guest network. On-site happens when the closet needs hands. Cabling and net-new IDF builds are projects, not the monthly. Scope is written before work starts. Month-to-month after that.

What is in the closet that monitoring does not cover?
Monitoring a PC is not managing the closet. The closet is switching, the firewall and its rules, Wi-Fi access points and the SSIDs in scope, VLANs, DHCP, the guest network, and the wiring. Those are sold as Network Management, not implied by an agent on a laptop. Cabling and a new IDF are projects. On-site is when the closet needs hands.
Frequently asked questions
What is Network Management?
Network Management is Wi-Fi, firewalls, switching, and the wiring closet, sold as a service rather than implied by monitoring. Florida Managed IT Group delivers it across 10 Florida counties. The page above lists what is in the monthly scope and what is a separate project. Cabling and net-new IDF builds are projects. On-site is when the closet needs hands.
Which parts of Florida do you cover?
Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, Sarasota, Orange, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Lee. City pages will live under /service-areas/. Until those URLs exist, use the service areas hub or contact us. That is the same 10-county footprint as the rest of the practice — Tampa Bay through Orlando and South Florida. We do not add counties we do not work.
How do you charge?
One monthly number for the stack we agree on. Projects — a migration, a new office, cabling, a phone cutover — are scoped separately. We do not publish a price list on this page. Ask for the written scope and the monthly number on the first call. Hardware, imaging, and net-new closets are not hidden inside that number. If you only want a project, we will say so.
Are we locked in?
Month-to-month. If it is not working, you leave. Ask for the agreement on the first call. There is no lock-in on the monthly engagement and no multi-year hostage note. Projects stay on their own line. We will not invent a termination fee on this page. Read the agreement before you sign.
How do we start?
Request a free IT assessment or use contact us. We will not put a phone number on this page until we have a real one to publish. Tell us the county and the stack. We inventory what is in scope. You leave with a written next step, not a slogan. No click-to-call until a real number exists.
Is the firewall “included” with managed IT?
Only if Network Management (or a named firewall line) is in the scope. Monitoring a PC is not managing the closet. A managed firewall means rules, firmware, and the edge are in the written plan — not a box we sold and forgot. Ask for the scope. We will not invent a 24/7 response time on this page.
Do you recable the office?
Cabling is a project, not the monthly. Structured cabling, PoE, a new IDF, and a net-new rack are scoped separately from Network Management. The monthly covers the closet we agreed to manage: switching, Wi-Fi, firewall, and the documentation. We will say which is which before work starts.
